Mission

Octolore is an anti-AI, security-first, digital book distribution platform for authors and early-access readers. In a world where tech platforms are integrating AI at breakneck speed, Octolore was born of necessity as a secure alternative.

With prominent tech platforms introducing no-consent AI features, we believe artists have the right to choose, and it shouldn’t come at the cost of user experience.

Alongside security, Octolore prioritizes reader accessibility and intuitive feedback tools that help authors collect and receive meaningful data.

We are taking a strong stance against AI. We will not integrate it into our software and we will not tolerate AI generated content on our platform.

Founders

Ari is a back-end software engineer, and author of the upcoming novel Astronomer’s Creed — a book she’s been writing for over a decade. She has over seven years experience building back-end systems and infrastructure. Ari started building Octolore when she realized that distributing digital ARC copies of her book could put them at risk of being fed into AI.

Charlie is a front-end software engineer and big time reader. She met Ari on Instagram and offered to help build Octolore. She, too, has seven years of experience building software, and her expertise in creating great user experiences is elevating Octolore to the next level.
